Tirupati: On the lines of ‘Super 30’ Academy in Bihar state, the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) has launched a residential camp for the students of municipal schools with an aim of sixty students securing 10 out of 10-Grade Point Average (GPA) in SSC-2019 examinations.

First of its kind in the state, the 120-day residential camp was set up for students at municipal high school in Chenna Reddy Colony here.

MCT Commissioner V Vijay Rama Raju has taken a decision to conduct a special coaching camp in residential mode for 60 bright tenth class students of municipal high schools as no student from municipal school had secured 10 on 10 GPA in SSC-2018 examinations despite arranging special classes for them after school hours.

Students for residential camp were selected based on the merit. The camp had already started and will run till the completion of exams. Subject experts were drafted to impart coaching to students in the residential camp.

The civic chief has allocated enough funds for 120 days to provide food, lodging, health check-up, appointing subject experts and caretakers.

In addition, advanced educational aids like audio-video projector, computers, subject material and air-conditioned classrooms were also provided to students by the MCT authorities.

The best subject experts were selected for teaching to super sixty batch. Speaking to The Hans India, Vijaya Rama Raju said that his aim is to ensure 60 municipal school students achieve 10 on 10 GPA in the SSC exams.

He further said parents of students are economically very poor and they cannot offer good facilities and pleasant ambiance for preparing for exams.

“We have taken all precautions about the safety of students particularly, safety of the girl students.

A separate hostel was set up for girl students,” he mentioned.

He exuded confidence of super sixty students achieving 10 out of 10 GPA in SSC-2019 exams. We have taken the consent of parents for allowing their children to stay in the hostel for 120 days.
