Vijayawada: A five-day Drawing Festival commenced on the campus of Vidyardhi on Friday and the displays will be exhibited till December 25. About 120 drawings, sketched by the students of Vidyardhi, are available for public view.

Vidyardhi, a home away from home is located in Vijayawada, started with a view to render service to the uneconomical background students by providing food, shelter and education. About 36 students are in this house.

The brain behind this is Majety Surendranath and Dr Majety Madhavi. They started this home for future citizens of the world.

They have identified these children from different parts of Andhra Pradesh and providing every welfare activity for them.

Besides primary education, they also tap the inherent hidden talent of the children. They appointed teachers for music, yoga, dance and drawing.

Now the children of Vidyardhi sketched under the guidance of drawing teacher P Jagadish, an International Gold Medalist in drawing and painting.

Jagadish is rendering service for Vidyardhi for the last six months. He made the children to exhibit their work in the short period.

Large number of public are appreciating the works of the children.

Swetha is taking care of the children with the assistance of Sujatha, Gopi and Kumari.
