Kakinada: Multi disciplinary teams would be constituted at mandal-level to conduct Janmabhoomi activities everyday in Janmabhoomi Maa Vooru programme from January 2 to 11, said Collector Kartikeya Misra.

Addressing the officials of various departments here on Monday, the Collector said that constituency special officers would monitor the programmers in their respective areas.

The Collector instructed the officials to follow the Janmabhoomi guidelines and to appoint separate teams at gram panchayats and mandal level. He suggested them to highlight the last four-and-a-half years’ progress and organise medical camps during Janmabhoomi.

He directed the departments to clear non-financial grievances immediately. He also said that 5K Run would be organized on January 6 as part of Janmabhoomi programme. Sports and cultural programmers will be organized everyday during the conduct of the 10-day programme.

During his visit to district on January 4, Chief Minister N Chandrababu will lay foundation stone for new commercial port to be taken up by GMR at JNTU grounds where the Janmabhoomi grama sabha will be conducted.

The CM will also lay foundation stone to ONGC pipeline and Yeleru modernization works in addition to smart city works of Kakinada.

Jyothula Naveen Kumar, Chairman of ZP who also attended this meeting said that the CM will attend ZP General Body meeting on January 4th afternoon in connection with centenary celebrations of Zilla Parishad.
