Eluru: The district election machinery will carry out extensive awareness campaign on the importance of voting on January 25 to mark National Voters Day.
Disclosing this, RDO G Chakradhara Rao said that they had taken up a campaign to register the youth as voters so far.
The programme was completed on a successful note. New voters were registered under the campaign.
Now, they would cover other sections of society by explaining the significance of vote.
They would arrange special programmes on January 25 and felicitate newly registered, senior and aged voters on the occasion.
The RDO explained these details during ‘Meekosam’ programme organized at his office.
He informed that all the applications received from people would be addressed in a speedy manner. They had uploaded the applications for their solution online.
