T G Venkatesh remarks on alliance with Pawan kick up storm
Comments by TDP Rajya Sabha member T G Venkatesh on possible TDPJana Sena alliance kicked up a storm with both TDP chief N Chanrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan reacting strongly to them on Wednesday
Amaravati: Comments by TDP Rajya Sabha member T G Venkatesh on possible TDP-Jana Sena alliance kicked up a storm with both TDP chief N Chanrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan reacting strongly to them on Wednesday.
Chandrababu Naidu reportedly warned him not to interfere in the party policy matters without knowing facts. Venkatesh earlier hinted that the TDP and Jana Sena may contest together in ensuing general elections, which created a flutter. Naidu reprimanded Venkatesh for expressing his personal views as party stand.
“It is not correct on your part. You are not supposed to give such confusing statements. Be restrained while speaking on policy matters. Never project your personal opinions as party decisions,” was said to be the warning by Naidu to Venkatesh, according to sources.
On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan too responded angrily against the MP’s comment and cautioned the TDP MP to watch his words. “Venkatesh is enjoying the RS seat which was rejected by Jana Sena. You are speaking nonsense. Speak only useful words,” he said while addressing a public meeting at Paderu in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
Venkatesh made his controversial remarks after meeting the Chief Minister at his residence in Undvalli. He said there was no difference of opinion between the TDP and JSP except regarding fight against the Centre. He said when Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) could join hands in Uttar Pradesh, it was also possible for TDP and Jana Sena alliance.
He added that Pawan Kalyan also asserted many a time that he has no aspirations to become Chief Minister. He further said that, “There is a possibility of discussions between both parties on seat sharing in March.”
