Kadapa: The TDP district leaders are trying to woo the dissident YSRCP leaders, who are unsure of getting MLA tickets this time. After Rajampet TDP MLA Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy had decided to join the YSRCP, the constituency in-charge Akepati Amarnath Reddy, who pinned his hopes on getting MLA ticket, had opposed the entry of Meda into the YSRCP. He indirectly warned party leadership of quitting the YSRCP in a meeting.

In Jammalamadugu segment, YSRCP mahila president Alle Prabhavathi, who was confident of securing ticket, has threatened to contest as an independent as YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy declared Jammalamadugu party in-charge Dr Sudheer Reddy as an official candidate.

Rajya Sabha member and YSRCP general secretary V Vijaya Sai Reddy’s brother-in-law and former Lakkireddipalli MLA Gandikota Dwarakanath Reddy, who lost hopes of securing Rayachoti ticket, met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu along with Minister Adinarayana Reddy at CM camp office on Monday and expressed his desire of joining the TDP.

However, Naidu reportedly did not give him any assurance of providing Rayachoti ticket. Chandrababu is keen on fielding TDP district president R Srinivasulu Reddy or his brother and former former Lakkireddipalli MLA R Ramesh Kumar Reddy from Rayachoti. Speaking to The Hans India, R Srinivasulu Reddy said several YSRCP leaders would join the TDP in the coming days.
