Guntur: Minister for Civil Supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao on Saturday flagged off the Sobha Yatra conducted on the occasion of two- days Kondaveedu Festivities beginning from February 17 in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the Sobha Yatra will proceed from NTR Stadium to B R Stadium to create awareness on festivities. He urged the people to visit the historical Kodaveeti Fort and make the festivities a grand success.
To create awareness on the history, culture and heritage among the future generations, the government has been conducting the festivities, he said and added that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would also participate in the festivities.
He said the government has taken all steps to develop the fort by providing infrastructure facilities.
District collector Kona Sasidhar said that the steps taken by the district administration to conduct the Kondaveedu festivities.
