Kakinada: Local Telugu daily ‘Praja Patrika’ will present commendation letters to best publications to mark its 92nd anniversary celebrations in Rajahmundry on March 9.

The publications are: ‘Dishtibomma’ (poetry), ‘Agadu Maa Prayanam’ (travelogue), ‘Mee Otlu Jagrata’ (Dalit literature) ‘O Mahila Neeku Matamendukamma’ (rationalist literature). These books have been selected by a three-member committee.

The committee decisions have been announced by Praja Patrika Editor Ramadevi.

She said ‘Dishtibomma’ has been written by national teacher award winner Chilukuri Srinivasa Rao, ‘Agadu Maa Prayanam’ by Nomula Narmada Reddy who visited 154 countries, ‘O Mahila Neeku Mathamendukamma’ by D Pera Lingam and ‘Mee Otlu Jagrata’ by Barre Anand Kumar.

These writers will be felicitated by the chief guests with commendation letters. The function begins at 10:00 am at Dharmachara Community Hall, Rajahmundry. President award-winner D Nageswara Rao will preside.

Those attending the celebration include D Prakasa Rao, Padma Sri Awardee, of Cuttack (Odisha), Narmada Reddy, Nalla Vijay, eminent handloom weaver of Sircilla, Katragadda, who has penned 15 books, Dr D V G Sankar Rao, former MP of Parvatipuram.
