Amaravati: At least 120 candidates to be fielded as Assembly candidates in the ensuing elections have been finalised by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu as on Tuesday.

The TDP chief interacted with the leaders from various districts and two Lok Sabha constituencies of Eluru and Narsapur on Tuesday at his residence at Undavalli.

Majority of sitting MLAs in the 14 Assembly segments under Eluru and Narsapur LS constituencies are going to get the tickets again this time, sources in the party informed.

Polavaram MLA M Srinivas and aspirant Boragam Srinivas met Chandrababu Naidu. Chintalapudi sitting MLA K Raja Rao and aspirants of the constituency Nagaraju and Songa Roshan requested the party president to allot ticket.

Venkata Ramana, Ramanjaneyulu and Venkata Rao have been seeking the ticket from Kaikalur Assembly segment. Mudraboina, Atluri Ramesh have sought a chance from Nuzvid in Krishna district.

Narsapuram sitting MLA Madhava Naidu and Kottapalli Subbaraudu asked Chandrababu Naidu for ticket from the same constituency. Bapiraju, Eli Nani and others have been lobbying for Tadepalligudem ticket.

Meanwhile, the TDP chief also interacted with the leaders from Prakasam district regarding pending seats in Ongole Lok Sabha constituency. Former MLA Ugra Narasimha Reddy and MLA Kadiri Babu Rao met the party president. Naidu asked Narasimha Reddy to join TDP. Still, the suspense on Kanigiri ticket has been continuing. Babu Rao hoped that he would win with more than 25,000 votes margin.

On the other hand, the YSRCP leaders Gouru Charita and her husband Gouru Venkata Reddy are contemplating to join TDP in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu, according to party sources.
