IIIT students take part in Swachh Bharat in Nuzvid
As many as 1,000 student volunteers of IIIT College Nuzvid took part in a mega Swachh Bharat programme organised by the college NSS unit on Monday
Vijayawada: As many as 1,000 student volunteers of IIIT College Nuzvid took part in a mega Swachh Bharat programme organised by the college NSS unit on Monday.
As part of the programme, the volunteers were divided into 10 units and cleaned the college campus till afternoon.
The students cleared bushes and grass and made the premises clean and beautiful, according to the NSS Coordinator O Srihari.
The students cleared the garbage stagnated in the drainage for the free flow and dug new canals for drains.
All the 10 NSS Volunteer Units cleaned the Yoga Hall, Post office area, Shopping Complex premises, Ground, Academy block, Quarters, Mess area, Hostel blocks and Old campus area as part of the Swatch Bharat programme.
The college director Prof D Suryachandra Rao appreciated the NSS volunteers for taking part in the programme and making the campus clean.
He said that with the Swatch Bharat programme, the college campus was transformed into a clean and beautiful landscape.
