German sports car maker Porsche has just unveiled its sports car of tomorrow. Labelled Mission E, this all-new creation is still in concept form and is a coherent design of a sporty vehicle with an electric drive.

The Mission E is on display at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. It is Porsche’s first all electrically-powered four-seater model that envisions the future of the electric sports car from the Stuttgart-based firm.

The Mission E comes with all-wheel drive and develops over 600bhp. What’s even more impressive is the claimed driving range which is over 500 kilometres. All of this is thanks to the drivetrain which uses two synchronous motors similar to those used in this year's Le Mans challenger, the 919 hybrid.

Together the two motors produce over 600bhp, and allow the Mission E to accelerate from zero to 100kmph in less than 3.5 seconds. Add the super advanced all-wheel drive system and Porsche’s torque vectoring system into the mix and the Mission E is highly capable around the corners too.
