Christened Toyota Innova Crysta, the new avatar of India's favourite MPV gets a huge revision in terms of styling, both inside and out. And under the hood, there will be new 2.4- and 2.8-litre diesel engines, which will churn out more power than the current one.
In terms of transmission, along with a five-speed manual, there will also be a six-speed automatic gearbox. Importantly, in light of the issues regarding diesel engines larger than 2,000cc in India right now, Toyota is seriously considering bringing in a 2.7-litre petrol motor to the line-up. The new MPV is expected to be launched in the second quarter of this year at a price that's higher than the current car's.
