There are no cosmetic or mechanical updates whatsoever. The 2017 Ford Figo hatchback and sedan which go by the names Ka and Ka+ respectively in Brazil have received a model year update. The additional features have inflated the price tags a bit.

Both Ka and Ka+ now come with third head restraint for the rear bench along with a three-point seat belt for the fifth passenger. A similar update is about to be introduced in the Brazil-spec 2017 Toyota Etios family which is set to be launched on 20th of this month. The updated Ka family will also come with standard split rear seats.

The Ka+ sedan’s lineup now gets a new top-end variant called 1.5L SEL Plus which incorporates rear parking sensors and leather seats. There are no visual changes or powertrain improvements. The Brazilian Ka+ is slightly longer than the India-spec Figo Aspire sedan which had to comply with the sub-4m norms to take advantage of the excise duty benefits.

Both Ka and Ka+ are powered by 1.0- and 1.5-litre flex-fuel engines which are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The former is capable of 85 PS and 105 Nm of torque while the latter is good for 110 PS and 146 Nm of torque.

The 2017 Ford Ka and Ka+ have base prices of 41,990 reals (around INR 8 lakhs) and 44,590 reals (around INR8.57 lakhs) respectively.
