Datsun redi-Go mileage launch in June

Production of the small car has already commenced at RNAIPL’s Oragadam plant.The Datsun redi-Go mileage figure which was not discussed at the time of unveil has been revealed on the official website. The small car returns an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 25.17 kmpl which is identical to that of its sibling, the Renault Kwid.

The 800 cc engine’s specifications continue to be under wraps but given the identical FE numbers, we expect the redi-Go to produce 54 PS and 72 Nm of torque like the Kwid. A 5-speed manual transmission drives the front wheels.

The redi-Go adopts a fresh design which was previewed by the 2012 Auto Expo concept of the same name. The production version is shorter than the Kwid in length but is taller and has higher ground clearance (185 mm). The tall boy design results in good vertical space within the cabin.

The redi-Go’s interior adopts a grey theme and a unique dashboard design. Chunky steering wheel and an angular centre console are the key highlights. The fully loaded variant packs driver airbag, LED daytime running lights on the bumper, AC, power steering, power windows, audio system, body colored bumpers, etc.

The Datsun redi-Go will be available in 5 exterior color options namely White, Ruby Red, Lime, Bronze Grey and Silver. Bookings are open.
