SBH Managing Director Santanu Mukherjee was present at the e-opening, a new IT initiative of the bank. Of the total branches opened, 18 are in Telangana state. With the addition of new branches, the SBH’s total branch network increased to 1,821 from 1,694 in March 2014. Besides, the number of branches in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh went up to 1,140 in the last one year, the bank said in a release.

Out of the total branches opened during the current fiscal, 34 branches are in Unbanked (UB) centres with population of below10,000, complying to the RBI norms. Jasbir Singh Aneja and V Viswanathan, Chief General Managers and other senior officials of the bank were present at the event.
