Hyderabad: Landmark Group which operates a wide network of retail outlets under Lifestyle, Max and Spar brands is now betting big on the value-for-money fashion segment through EasyBuy brand under which it intends to open over 200 franchise outlets for apparel and related merchandise across the country over next five to seven years.

Rajiv RanjanEasyBuy began operations with its maiden outlet in Karimnagar earlier this year and since then, it opened nine stores across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. They include two stores in Hyderabad which were opened on Wednesday.

Targeting middle class families in urban centres, district headquarters and other prosperous towns, EasyBuy offers a range of apparel and accessories priced from Rs 69 to Rs 699.

“Our objective is to offer trendy and quality fashion at affordable prices. Our exclusive stores spread over 5,000 to 6,000 s.ft. in size, stock over 1,000 clothing styles for men, women and kids. All the stores we have opened till now are doing extremely well,” Rajiv Ranjan, Vice President and Business Head, EasyBuy, told media here on Wednesday.

On the expansion plans, he said the brand would take the network to 50 stores over the next three years before hitting the 200 mark in five to seven years time. “Our plan is to open at least two stores every month as we are looking to cover all the districts in the country,” he said, adding that the company would open three to four more EasyBuy outlets in Hyderabad.

“We will set up all the stores through franchise route and the typical investment required for a new store is around Rs 1 crore. But stores can achieve break even from the day one as the value fashion accounts for the 80 per cent of the apparel business in the country,” he explained.
