Hyderabad: Max Fashion India, a part of Lifestyle International (P) Ltd, on Thursday said it would open eight new stores in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Currently, the value fashion brand and retail chain has 14 outlets in two Telugu states, including 10 in Telangana.

Six of the new stores planned will come up in Hyderabad while the remaining two will be established in Guntur and Nellore towns of Andhra Pradesh. According to the company, an amount of Rs five crore will be invested in each new store.

Established in India in 2006, Max Fashion has over 135 stores across 50 cities in the country, offering customers a one stop shop for clothing, accessories and footwear. The brand employs close to 5000 people and serves five million customers annually with its turnover expected to cross Rs 1,800 crore in the current fiscal. The company is celebrating its 10 anniversary this year.

“In the last ten years, the brand has been agile enough to move and evolve its positioning from youth to the family. Fashion consumption has drastically increased with ecommerce in India. Our challenge now is to come up with new innovation every 45 days,” Vasanth Kumar, Executive Director, Max Fashion India, told media here.

We are now focusing on contemporary middle class and young millennial since 30 per cent of our business comes from 18-25 age group, he added. Recently, the company has its Millennial, a new store format targeting the fashion-savvy youth. The stores will house imported collection and will be present across top six metros.
