Speaking to the newsmen, Ramachandra Naidu said that the unit would be named as Amara Raja Infra Limited and it would manufacture automotive batteries at Amara Raja Industrial Park. "The manufacturing unit will be set up in three phases. The first phase will be completed by June next year. If the unit becomes fully operational the production of automotive batteries would touch six million units per year,'' stated Galla Jayadev, Managing Director, Amara Raja Batteries. The unit is coming up with modern equipment and technology with international standards, he added. Jayadev further said that rural youth would be trained and provided employment in the unit.
