'Balupu' trailer lands in controversy

'Balupu' is the latest film to be caught in a communal controversy. Brahmin organisations in the State submitted a formal complaint to the Censor Board and the Film Chamber.

Dronamraju Ravikumar, representative of the Andhra Pradesh Brahmana Seva Sangha Samakhya, alleged that the trailer of 'Balupu' contained derogatory remarks against Brahmins. "Such films have come out before and hurt our sentiments.

So we are taking this precautionary step", he said. They demanded the withdrawal of trailers from all TVchannels. Meanwhile, the production team has not responded to the allegations so far. 'Balupu' will release on June 28.
