ega2 New Delhi (PTI): Tigmanshu Dhulia's 'Paan Singh Tomar', a real-life story of athlete-turned-dacoit, on Monday was named the best picture at the 60th National Film awards while its lead actor Irrfan Khan shared the best actor honour along with Vikram Gokhale for Marathi film 'Anumati'. Usha Jadhav was adjudged the best actress for her portrayal of a rustic housewife in Marathi film 'Dhag' while filmmaker Shivaji Lotan Patil was declared the best director. Coming to Tollywood, filmmaker SS Rajamouli's 'Eega', one of the most successful films of 2012, was awarded the best feature film in Telugu. It also won the National Award for the special effects. Makuta VFX, a Hyderabad-based VFX company, did the effects of the film, which had a housefly as the lead protagonist. "The whole team at Makuta is super excited about winning the National Award for special effects and graphics. It was the toughest project we handled with well over 2000 shots," Dasaradha R Gude, chairman, Makuta VFX, said in a statement.
