‘Rey’s tales of woes
‘Rey’s Tales of Woes, About Sai Dharam Tej's New Movie. It’s been three years in the making and producer-director YVS Chowdary is all geared up to promote ‘Rey’ as extensively as he can to meet the release deadline, i.e. February 5. “We will meet the release date at any cost this time around,” he says.

It’s been three years in the making and producer-director YVS Chowdary is all geared up to promote ‘Rey’ as extensively as he can to meet the release deadline, i.e. February 5. “We will meet the release date at any cost this time around,” he says.
Explaining the delay of his musical, which was launched in October 2010, he points out that the work permits and visas for US where it had to be shot considerably had initially deferred the shoot. “When we’ve finally made it to US after two unsuccessful attempts due to the industry strike, Sai Dharam, while practicing a dance move, sustained a fracture in his leg. Upon consulting doctors, he was advised two months of bed rest. We had no other options than to return to Hyderabad.”
He says that the actual shooting begun in March 2012. “We’ve wrapped up the film by May this year before allotting two months for post production. After working out dates to release the film in latter half of this year, the atmosphere in the State has changed drastically. We had to wait and after deliberate consultations with Chiranjeevi garu and Pawan Kalyan garu, we’ve locked February 5 as the release date,” he says while adding that both the mega brothers stood by him during the testing times.
Naga Babu, who has been a great support for YVS Chowdary, is hopeful that ‘Rey’ will be fruitful for the director. “He is a workaholic,” he says and adds and that his nephew Tej is a sweetheart. “We three brothers like him very much. He is a darling and is smart. I’ve seen him grow up. He is a weapon and if used properly can yield desired results. I hope YVS has made full use of his potential.”
Heaping praise on his director, Sai says that YVS has taken a big gamble by roping in all youngsters for the flick. “He is a fearless maker and given a chance I would definitely work again with him.”
‘Rey’s music, composed by Chakri, will be unveiled on a grand note shortly. Pawan Kalyan is expected to attend it.
