Indian short film ‘Kush’ in Oscar race

Indian short film, Kush has been in the Oscar race for academy awards. It is evident that the much hyped movie, the good road has been eliminated from the race. Now, the only hope lies on this short film, Kush. This movie is made on the backdrop of the 1984 Sikh riots and is based on the original incidents.

This movie found a place in top 10 action movies selected for the Oscar. Kush has been directed by Subhashis Bhutaini, aged barely 22 years. The short film was made with a meagre expenditure of 8-10lakhs and was patronized by many people. This movie grabbed approval of most of the critics from around the world and was exhibited in South Asian film festival and Hampton International Film Festival.
