The end credits of Ravi Teja-starrer ‘Kick’ was a pointer that ‘Kick 2’ would also be on offer. However, since both Ravi Teja and director Surendar Reddy got busy with their other commitments, ‘Kick 2’ was put on the backburner.
But going by the latest reports, the highly anticipated sequel that catapulted both the actor and the director into the top league is indeed on the cards. Grapevine is abuzz with the news that ‘Kick 2’ would go on floors as soon as Ravi Teja completes his film with director Bobby. Surendar Reddy will call the shots again.
But there’s a surprise in store as instead of RR Move Makers which produced the first installment, it would be actor Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s NTR Arts that would be shelling out money for the sequel. RR Movie Makers financial woes have reportedly led them to handover the project to Kalyan Ram.
Kalyan Ram also shares a good equation with Surendar as he was the one who introduced the latter into the tinsel town with ‘Athannokkade’ in 2005.
