Srinivas, better known as Shreyas Media Srinivas in the industry circle, is upbeat about the prospects of his next venture, ‘Bhadram’, a dubbed version of Tamil flick, ‘Thegidi’, starring Ashok Selvan and Janani Iyer in the lead roles.’ “It opened to great reviews in Tamil Nadu last Friday. It has managed to attain the number one position at the Chennai box-office. The Telugu versions’ business has gained momentum,” he says, adding that the film is a murder mystery. “We’ve got a ‘U’ certificate from the Censor officials. We will hit the screens on March 7 or 14.”

Known to promote his films the right way, he insists that “production is tough for him”. “I can promote films easily. We made ‘Ee Rojullo’ under Rs. 45 lakh but spent around Rs. 75 lakh on promotions alone. It turned out to be a key factor in the success of the film,” he says.

He also has two productions lined up next. “Yes, an assistant director’s love story has gone on floors. A Telugu-Tamil bilingual, it is being directed by Rajni Tanay. The first half of the film is set in Hyderabad while the second half is in Chennai. Venkat Ratnam, an associate to Ravi Babu, will be directing another film for us. It will be a romantic thriller.”
