Ugadi Sentiment For 2015 Too. Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer Telugu action-drama ‘Legend’ has raked in Rs 7.4 crore on its opening day, on Friday, in Andhra Pradesh.

‘Legend’ star Balayya wants to repeat the Telugu New Year sentiment by launching his new movie with debutant director Satya today.

Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer Telugu action-drama ‘Legend’ has raked in Rs 7.4 crore on its opening day, on Friday, in Andhra Pradesh. Thanks to its impressive release day numbers, trade pundits predict the film may register good opening weekend collections.

The film directed by Boyapati Srinu has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 35 crore.

"The film collected Rs 7.4 crore on its release day in Andhra Pradesh. This has turned out to be the biggest film to release after the state's bifurcation and emerge victorious at the boxoffice," said trade analyst Trinath.

"There was a slight dip in collections on Saturday, nevertheless we can expect the opening weekend numbers to be anything beyond Rs 12 crore," he added. Interestingly, Balayya has several Ugadi blockbusters to his credit.

‘Legend’ is an out-and-out 'mass masala' commercial entertainer featuring Balakrishna in double roles.

Produced by 14 Reels Entertainment, the film also features Sonal Chauhan, Radhika Apte, Jagapathi Babu and Kalyani in important roles.

Continuing on the Ugadi sentiment, Balayya is now getting ready for the next movie under debutant director Satya which is going to launch on Ugadi (today). The buzz is that Satya who narrated the story of the movie to Balayya has managed to floor him with the story and got the go ahead from the ‘Simha’ star.

The shoot is expected to begin after Balayya wraps up campaigning for the Telugu Desam party in the coming elections.
