Attending a film function the first time after assuming office as the Chief Minister of residual Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu urged filmmakers to make socio-relevant films on a regular basis. “Apart from focusing on entertainment, it’s also important for filmmakers to dish out message-oriented films. The late NTR was a pioneer in making such films. He was also instrumental in making the careers of writers like Paruchuri Brothers,” said Naidu. He was speaking at the music launch of nephew Nara Rohit-starrer ‘Rowdy Fellow’ in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Naidu also said that to lead a healthy life entertainment is a must. “Healthy entertainment means the government needs to construct very few hospitals,” he chuckled. He added that the venue Shilpakala Vedika, where the audio launch was held, was built during TDP’s regime. “Hyderabad also reached new heights under TDP’s administration. It’s important to retain its brand image,” he stressed.

Naidu said the film, ‘Rowdy Fellow’ is “a positive story told with a negative title”. “It’s an attention seeking initiative I guess; it happens in politics too. This is Rohit’s seventh film and I see a great future for him in the industry. My wishes to him and the whole team,” he said.
