Charan’s next with Gautham Menon?

Looks like Ram Charan is treading a cautious path when it comes to choosing his directors. The actor, who was all set to work with ‘Loukyam’ director Srivass up next, it seems, had a change of heart. He would instead be teaming up with master of romantic films Gautham Vasudev Menon for his next, it is learnt. The actor very recently said that he has plans to do a Telugu- Tamil bilingual with Menon next year.

A source points out, “The actor is no mood to rush with his next. As of now he is focused on his dad’s 150th project. Only after announcing it, he will shift attention to his next with Gautham, who’s waiting to start a Telugu project for a while. He did have conversations with Menon on the phone.”

The source further adds that it will be the script of Kona Venkat. “Gautham will be giving it his touch. It is an action backdrop subject with oodles of romance. Charan is likely to play the role of a cop. It will go on to floors in January, by which the ace director will be through with the promotional activities of his under shoot movie with Tamil superstar Ajith.”

So what happened to Srivass’ project? “He is expected to get a look in after Charan wraps up Menon’s film. Realising this, he has moved on to Balayya’s 99th project,” the source says.
