Tollywood is attracting the attention of everyone across the country as they make the highest number of films than any other language including that of Bollywood. However, many wonder is this itself a reason enough to rejoice?

True that it provides bread and butter, livelihood to many people across the country. However, many movie lovers lament that Telugu flavour is missing completely from Tollywood. Family oriented films like Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Drushyam, Manam, Attarintiki Daaredi did fulfill the vacuum. However, people say it is not the story they are complaining about.

Telugu flavour means local talent, traditional telugu heroines, character artistes, music directors, singers etc. In any film, except for hero and comedian Brahmanandam most crew members hail from different states. This fact itself is difficult to digest. True that all are great actors and they work hard on their diction learning the language too. But many feel however hard they learn, artistes speaking or singing in their mother tongue is something different.

It's time local talents be given a chance so as not to not rob them of the opportunity.
