Solid Patels crew bond over Gujarati cuisine

Saurabh Varma’s upcoming flick ‘Solid Patels’ a comedy tale about two wacky characters ‘Tom Patel & Jerry Patel’, is an enthralling drama with high levels of quirky and “laugh-out-loud” moments.

Gujarati cuisine is one of the oldest culinary treasures of India. It is an exquisite blend of flavors where the sweetness dominates most dishes like the famous ‘Kadhi’, which also happens to be a favorite of the R.J. turned actor Kettan Singh, a.k.a Jerry Patel in the film ‘Solid Patels’.

Shiv Pandit a.k.a as Tom Patel on the other hand felt that the tasty & yummy ‘Uundhyo’, tickled his taste buds more. Among the leading ladies, the ever-so-charming and gorgeous Shazahn Padamsee picked on soft and spongy ‘Dhoklas’ on the sets, and the pretty yet adorable Vaishali Desai who is a Gujarati herself without a sweet-tooth, was seen feasting on some ‘Shrikhand’.

The Gujarati cuisine clearly helped the cast of ‘Solid Patels’ to bond better and played a big role in getting the best out of them!

Says Director Saurabh Varma, “We had a ball on the sets and especially on days when Gujarati food was served, the energy levels of the actors were at an unprecedented high. The “Gujarati-Mix” just made my task easier since we were wrapping up the scenes in few takes!”
