JD takes over Sridevi.It was early last October that filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma announced ‘Sridevi’, a story about a 15-year-old boy’s infatuation towards a 25-year-old woman.
It was early last October that filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma announced ‘Sridevi’, a story about a 15-year-old boy’s infatuation towards a 25-year-old woman. While everybody is aware of the controversies that ensued, including diva Sridevi slapping a notice to Varma, looks like on sets too the film had gone through its share of problems. Apparently we hear the film’s original director Kiran Prasad left the project after shooting it for some days.
Confirms a source, “Yes, it’s true that Kiran has exited the project. He had creative differences with JD Chakravarthy who was playing a key role in the film. The debutant thought it’s better to leave than to dance to JD’s tunes.”The source adds, “JD has called the shots after Kiran left the project.
But it remains to be seen whether he will take credit for directing it or not. He, in fact, even replaced Anukriti Govind Sharma for a new girl. The shoot is almost over.”What happened to Kiran? “He has moved on to another project. He is expected to get the nod of an upcoming hero for his debut flick,” the source added.
