Open to item numbers

After creating a niche for herself in Telugu cinema, Raashi is now game for experimenting and exploring new arenas.She has been in tinsel towon for a while and knows how certain things work. She has been offered films that many can only dream of.

All of 22, Raashi Khanna has worked with Gopichand in ‘Jil’ and is gearing up for a movie with Ravi Teja in April.“Yes, working with Gopichand was a pleasure. He is one of the most genuine people I have met. Added to that he is extremely humble and is very helpful on the sets,” Raashi says speaking about her ‘Jil’ co-star.

Her role in the film is that of a carefree girl, Savitri. “She is an energetic, straight-forward girl who doesn’t hesitate to say things on the face,” she says talking about her character in the film for which she underwent a workshop.Further, she enjoyed dancing for a song choreographed by Raju Sundaram. “He is a magician,” she says.

Meanwhile, many Tollywood actresses have been hesitant to star in “special” songs or item numbers, as they are called, but Raashi says she has no qualms whatsoever. “I am an actor and open to anything interesting that comes my way. If I like what’s offered, I will accept it without any reservations,” she shared when quizzed on whether special songs were her cup of tea.

But she is clueless as to what the nature of the item number should be. “I never gave that a thought! Now that you ask me, maybe I should.” Raashi is gung ho about being a part of Ravi Teja’s ‘Bengal Tiger’. “I can’t tell you anything about my role in the film. But it’s something I am looking forward to,” says the Delhi-born actress.
