S S Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ has been creating records with the film already crossing Rs 180 crore mark in India but the director was also left to deal with an angry audience. Although the movie is garnering appreciation across the globe, the fans demanded to know why Rajamouli left the first part of the story unfinished and why they have to wait till the next year to see the rest of the story.

Rajamouli comes up with a curtailed reason for the first time stating that ‘Baahubali’ was planned as a two-part film and the declaration of 'Baahubali' as the King was planned as the end of first part. The director elaborates that the end is a very poetic suspense and didn’t mean it as a rude shock to the audience.

Rajamouli explains that he will need one year to complete the shoot along with the post-production of the second part. The director reveals that there are no plans to go beyond the second film but are contemplating to bring on a television series based on 'Baahubali'.
