Nisha KothariLast seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Psycho’, which earned her good reviews, actress Nisha Kothari is back in action with ‘Bullet Rani’, a Telugu-Kannada bilingual. The actress says she had green-lit the project, a female-centric mass entertainer, as it offered her something new.

“When director Sajid Qureshi narrated me the script of ‘Bullet Rani’, I found it different. Moreover, the idea of playing a cop was enticing,” shares Nisha. The New Delhi girl says that it was not difficult to shoot simultaneously for both the languages. “I started my career with a Tamil film and I also did a couple of Telugu and Kannada movies, which made me familiar with the southern languages.

Furthermore, there are people who help you with your dialogues on the sets. The only thing that you need to do is memorise them and render them with the right expression,” says Nisha. Ask whether she had done any research for her role in the movie, she says, “No.

My director Sajid was clear in what he wanted from me – be it my body language or the way I go about my business – paving way for me to portray the character according to the script. Besides, if you get into khaki you will feel stronger. It’s a strange feeling.” The actress did prepare a bit to kick some butt in the film.

“Since I was also into fitness for the past six years it did help,” she informs, adding, “The action does tire you, because there are lots of rope shots and you have to shoot under the sun. But when you see those sequences on screen, you will feel happy.” The actress has been dubbed as Ram Gopal Varma’s girl as she did film like ‘James’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Shiva’ and ‘Darling’ with him.

Ask her where she stands with him as of now, she says, “My equation with him still remains the same – he was the one who gave me a break in Bollywood. I have lot of respect for him and I’m in touch with him.” Will she be collaborating with him again? “That, you have to ask him,” Nisha signs off.
