Mahesh Babu's 'Srimanthudu’ has created a storm at the box-office on Day 1 with the collections reaching to Rs 25 crore worldwide. Released in over 2500 screens, 'Srimanthudu' opened to a thunderous response with an occupancy of 60-70% in the morning shows proceeding to house full by the evening.

Becoming the highest opener for a Mahesh Babu starrer, 'Srimanthudu' ranks second after 'Baahubali' to receive highest opening day ever. Overseas too, the movie performed extremely well with collections of $555k from the premier shows on Thursday.
While the first day collections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is around 13-14 Crore, the collections in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka are around 6 Crore. It will be interesting to see the 'Srimanthudu' magic creating records on the weekend.
