Yeleti’s next a family drama. Known for his hatke and realistic cinema, filmmaker Chandrasekhar Yeleti is all set to commence his next in a month’s time. To be produced by Sai Korrapati, the film will be Yeleti’s first attempt at a family drama.
Known for his hatke and realistic cinema, filmmaker Chandrasekhar Yeleti is all set to commence his next in a month’s time. To be produced by Sai Korrapati, the film will be Yeleti’s first attempt at a family drama. “It will be a realistic family drama,” he assures when contacted.
“It is something that I haven’t done before and will be different screenplay-wise.” Yeleti adds that the film’s cast will be a mix of both fresh and established faces. “The lead characters, predominantly, will be fresh faces. The script will be wrapped in 20 more days and it will be a Hyderabad-set story,” he says, adding that it will be shot on a shoestring budget.
Ask him why it took so long to make another film after his 2013 release ‘Sahasam’, he responds, “I was working on three scripts after ‘Sahasam’ but finally zeroed in on this (family drama).” He also dismissed reports which claimed that his proposed project with superstar Venkatesh failed to materialise. “It’s all rubbish. Even I don’t know why such reports surfaced in the first place. The reports even said what kind of story I was about to make,” he laughs.
