Ram, Santosh Srinivas set for an encore

While reports doing the rounds indicate that Ram is treading a careful path with regards to his next, especially after his recent flick ‘Shivam’ went out like the briefest of the candle at the BO, we’ve reliably learnt that Santosh Srinivas will call the shots of his next. The cinematographer-turned-director has earlier teamed up with the actor to dish out the successful ‘Kandireega’.

Sources say that the director wants to recreate their earlier magic and is scripting a romantic tale that has all the necessary ‘mass elements’ in the right mix. “Ram is impressed with the line and has agreed to do the film in-principle. The story discussions are going on in full-swing and the filmmaker is likely to complete the final draft soon,” hinted a source close to the development.

“Santosh had been working on the script for the last few months. Once the script turns out to his taste, he will meet the actor for the final narration,” added the source.

Ram and Gopi Achanta of 14 Reels Entertainment are the frontrunners to produce the film, which might go on to floors as soon as Ram wraps up his current film, ‘Nenu-Sailaja’, with director Kishore Tirumala.

Interestingly, Ram was supposed to collaborate with Santosh Srinivas three years ago for ‘Kandireega 2’ but he exited the project following creative differences with producer Bellamkonda Suresh.
