A still from Abbayitho AmmayiNaga Shaurya, whose recent film ‘Jadoogadu’ did not fare well at the box-office, brims with confidence on his upcoming film ‘Abbayitho Ammayi’, directed by Ramesh Varma. The actor, who will be seen in the role of a teenager in quest for his first kiss, is paired opposite debutante Palak Lalwani.

As edgy as it may sound, Naga Shaurya confesses that the decision to act in the romantic drama was spontaneous. “When I heard the script, I accepted it immediately. It’s an edgy character and the storyline is fresh.

Since the plot of the film is based on an interesting theme, I had to make certain adjustments to the way I behave. As the film progresses, I had to bring in a lot of innocence and show anguish to the character in the later portions. I believe such films will definitely connect to the contemporary youth," he says.

The actor is all praise for the film’s director Ramesh Varma. "I know Ramesh sir since a long time. He has great clarity about what he wants to do. One of the reasons we were able to wrap the film on time was because of his swiftness,” he explains.
