Regina to focus completely on Tollywood

Actress Regina Cassandra, who is from Chennai, says she is completely focused on Tollywood.

“Even if I go back to Chennai after a year they don’t mind taking me back but if I stop doing Telugu films for a while and then stage a comeback, I’m sure I will need to start from scratch once again,” she says, adding, “Moreover, I’m getting a lot of offers from Tollywood and I don’t feel like leaving this industry for Tamil.

For now my focus is on Tollywood.” With her good friend Raashi Khanna acquiring a property in Hyderabad recently, we wonder if Regina would follow suit considering that she is two years senior to the former in the industry.

“Why do I need a house? I’m only 25. I don’t want all the bills associated with a house dumped on my head. We have to plan a lot to acquire a flat but I’m not ready for that stress right now,” she smiles.

One of the few actresses who can converse in Telugu well, Regina has no plans of dubbing for her roles for now. “My Telugu hasn’t reached a level where I feel I can dub for myself. If I dub it has to be the best.

I don’t want to come across complains that Regina’s dubbing is a major fault with the film. I’m taking it slow.”
