Hijra Community all set to win the World
YRF films, one of India’s leading production houses in a bid to help the Transgender community win the World with their potential has introduced to the world’s first transgender fusion band named as the 6 pack band, the band members comprise of 6 transgender artists and singer Sonu Nigam who always desired to something for this community is supporting them.
YRF films, one of India’s leading production houses in a bid to help the ”Transgender” community win the World with their potential has introduced to the world’s first transgender fusion band named as the 6 pack band, the band members comprise of 6 transgender artists and singer Sonu Nigam who always desired to something for this community is supporting them.
Introducing the band, Sonu Nigam said, "The band will be a game changer in the film industry. I’ve always wondered what if I was born on a planet where my kind of people were in minority and I was treated with condescension. That thought never left my mind till I could do something for the Hijra community.”
Today marks the launch of their debut song, "Happy Hain hum" which is their rendition of Pharell Williams’ popular song, Happy. The 6 pack band, even sang a few lines for us: One of band members, Fida said, “Happy is not a just a song for us, its life. We have figured out a way to stay happy.”
The band’s next song is Rab De Bandey. The project is directed by Shameer Tandon and produced by Assist Patil.
Looks like 2016 will bring loads of work for the Transgender Community who undoubtedly are intelligent, talented and with loads of creative potential. I bet this is just the beginning for the Transgenders as they are all set to ”Win The World”!
