Chiru’s new look becomes talk of the town

While rumours have been doing the rounds that Chiranjeevi’s muchvaunted comeback flick might go on floors in February, what made news on Tuesday morning was the actor’s look.

The paparazzis got enough of Chiru’s new look with a twirled moustache at a private event in Hyderabad recently. His pictures have gone viral and fans have been going gaga, tipping it as the megastar’s new look for his flick with VV Vinayak.

Chiru, it appears, has even shed a few kilos to look leaner and fitter. The matinee idol sported a similar twirled moustache (with a clean shave) in his earlier films ‘Indra’ and ‘Andarivadu’.

Going by the actor’s looks, it is clear that he is prepping up for the Telugu remake of Tamil monster hit ‘Kaththi’. Apparently, we hear that director VV Vinayak is giving a unique spin to one of his roles—Chiru will be playing dual roles in the film.

“The original had no great emphasis on comedy. Vinayak, for the Telugu version, has asked his team of writers to envisage one of Chiru’s roles in a way that it will balance the comedy quotient with grave issue that the film addresses,” said sources close to the project. ‘Kaththi’ remake will be bankrolled by Ram Charan and Lyca Productions.
