Looks like director Krish is all set to recreate the ‘Kanche’ magic again! While the war drama was a take on the social divide that runs through the veins of villages, his yet-untitled next, a spy thriller, is set in the backdrop of Georgia.

The film’s producer Rajeev Reddy says, “We (unit) have just returned from Georgia where the film will be majorly shot. We are done with the pre-production but there are a few bottlenecks like obtaining permissions for locations, logistics, etc, so we’ll start the project towards the end of the month.”

Reasoning on why they chose Georgia, “It’s a nice country. While filming ‘Kanche’, we have identified some breathtaking locations. In fact, we haven’t shot anything in Georgia except the battle episode (battle field), so we haven’t explored anything.

At this time of the year, one part of Georgia (Russian border) would be completely filled with snow and there are several ski resorts while the other part has black sea. Krish wants to design a dramatic fight sequence in the snow and explore all these locations.

That’s something we haven’t seen for a long time,” he explains. “Moreover, these locations are apt for the script and it’ll be something new for the audience. Krish is someone who always wants to push the envelope by coming up with interesting scripts coupled with unique locations.

Since we already shot there, we know the people and are more comfortable working with them instead of taking a chance elsewhere,” Rajeev adds. Varun Tej and Pragya Jaiswal will share the screen space again in the film, which also features another actress in a prominent role.
