Johannesburg : After Beyonce called out Red Lobster in her new song 'Formation,' the seafood restaurant chain witnessed a 33 percent surge in its sales.
A representative for the chain revealed that the 34-year-old singer's new single has helped company achieve a 33 percent surge in sales on Sunday from a year ago, adding that the increase came after the release in which the singer said she took a man to Red Lobster after sex, Channel.24 reports.
Notably, after the 'Crazy in Love,' hit-maker's mention of the company in her song, it has also become a trending topic on Twitter.
In a statement, Red Lobster CEO Kim Lopdrup said that Beyonce has helped create some Red Lobster fans, and they are very grateful to her.
Red Lobster, based in Orlando, Florida, has more than 700 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
