Parineeti prefers Bollywood to Mahesh Babu’s film

Rakul Preet Singh is the frontrunner to replace the Bollywood powerhouse performer

Now this news might come in as a shock. Just when the makers of Mahesh Babu’s film wanted to take their long-in-the-planning actioner on to sets, it has emerged that the film’s lead actress Parineeti Chopra has backed out of the project, leaving the unit high and dry.

A source close to the unit says, “Parineeti was gung-ho about the prospect of sharing screen space with her favourite Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu. She was even paid a bomb but as luck would have it, things did not work out for her and, in the knick of moment; she had to step out of the project.

Although the reasons for her exit are yet to be known, it is believed that her new signing with Homi Adajania, ‘Takadum’, has caused the trouble, as the film’s dates were clashing with that of Mahesh’s film.”

The source adds, “Rakul Preet Singh has been immediately approached to replace Parineeti and she is more or less confirmed to join the project. She has even participated in a test shoot.”
