Allari Naresh, who is awaiting the release of ‘Selfie Raja’, a remake of Kannada hit ‘Victory’, says he rectified his past errors and made ‘Selfie Raja’ as an out-and-out entertainer. “It’s been three years since we acquired the remake rights of ‘Victory’.

We only took only 30 per cent of the original and gave the Telugu version a new spin. I have been hearing complaints that entertainment levels in my films have come down significantly. I tried to address it with ‘Selfie Raja’. Even we took special care to come up with catchy numbers,” said Naresh. He was speaking at the launch of a new single from the film in Hyderabad recently.

He assured that ‘Selfie Raja’ will be a spoof-free film. “We came up with some hilarious comic action sequences. Out of 60 working days, action master Vijay has allotted 40 days for the film. My character dons multiple getups in the film to free himself from a problem that he gets into because of his loudmouth,” the actor said and added that the film addresses selfie-obsession in a new way.

He further said that the team will tour Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Warangal in the coming days to unveil the remaining numbers. Directed by Eeshar Reddy, ‘Selfie Raja’, featuring Sakshi Chowdary and Kamna Singh Ranawat alongside Naresh, will open in cinemas on July 15.
