Aavu Puli Madhyalo Prabhas Pelli will be a fun ride: Director 

Director SJ Chaitanya says his debut film ‘Aavu Puli Madhyalo Prabhas Pelli’ is a dark comedy, a genre which Tollywood hasn’t explored much. “It is about a die-hard Prabhas fan (played by newcomer Ravi Teja) who wants to succeed in films. He believes that he can emulate Prabhas’ on-screen antics in real life and to bag a chance in films, he goes and does drama in front of a real don (Kalakeya Prabhakar).

The repercussions, though serious for the characters, will leave the audience in splits,” Sai promises, adding, “It’s inspired by the story of a real life don who hails from Nellore. In fact, he is playing a small part too. We even got some original rowdies to play roles. ”

Shot in 30 days, with another 10 days for re-shoot, Sai, who was once the technical in charge of Apple Computers (South) insists Prabhakar was of immense help for the project. “Imagine him playing a character of SV Rangarao? He propels the narrative and we’ve put our best foot forward to extract the right performance from him.

In fact, given his busy schedule he dropped by the sets for re-shoot and shot again,” Sai informs, hinting at a sequel to the film. “Although our film hasn’t released yet, we are planning to come up with the sequel, ‘Aavu Puli Madhyalo Anushka Pelli’. We haven’t completely narrated what we wanted in ‘Aavu Puli Madhyalo Prabhas Pelli’, fearing that the audience may feel bored. So we mooted the idea of a sequel.”
