A Pawan film in five months flat!

Delayed slightly after the first choice director SJ Suryah opted out, the filming of Pawan Kalyan’s yet-to-be-titled next, a remake of Tamil hit ‘Veeram,’ will kick-off in Hyderabad on August 6. Sources close to the project have confirmed to us that the first schedule will be a short affair. “It’s like a warm up schedule aimed to ensure that director Dolly gets into some kind of rhythm.

The source added that the second schedule, to start after a week or ten days after the first one, will last over a month. “Although the film is a village-centric actioner, it will be predominantly shot in noted Hyderabad studios. There’s a chance for a schedule in a village but producer Sharrath Marar will take a call on it. A couple of songs, however, would be filmed abroad.”

When asked whether Dolly has given a complete new spin to the script, the source said, “The core of the original has been retained but it has been tailored to suit Pawan’s persona.” About the release date, the source pointed out, “The plan is to complete the film by December and then see when to release it. Even Pawan is keen on wrapping up things by year-end.”
