  • Her real name Sree Amman Ayyapan Yanger. Her father's name is Ayyapan Yanger and he was a lawyer.
  • She debuted in Tamil movie at the age of 6. She first acted in Thunaivan in 1969. She was born in 1963. She debuted in Tamil as a lead actress in 1976. In Telugu, in 1977 and in Hindi, in 1979. In all three languages, she acted in same role with same story.
