Rakul no longer open to guest roles

Although Rakul Preet Singh expressed happiness about her ‘special’ role in the film ‘N.T.R,’ yet , she has no plans to take up guest appearances any more. “She is a great admirer of the legendary Sridevi and jumped at the offer to match dancing steps with Balakrishna in the yesteryear chartbuster “Aaku Chaatu Pinde Thadisey” in the biopic, but she has no plans to take up special roles,” says a source, close to the actress.

Right now, the ‘Jaya Janaki Nayaka’ actress is busy with Tamil and Hindi movies and is in talks with a few Telugu filmmakers too. “She is doing one film with Naga Chaitanya and also will romance Mahesh Babu, although, she is yet to sign it. Meanwhile, she has become a sought-after- actress in Tamil and Hindi movies. As such, guest roles and item numbers are not in her scheme of things,” the source adds.

She is romancing Ajay Devgn and Siddharth Malhotra in Bollywood and stars like Surya and Karthi in Kollywood to expand her pan-India appeal. “Instead of sticking to one particular language, actresses have to explore other language movies. Being a multi-lingual diva will give them an opportunity to try out new roles, rather than confining themselves to single-dimension characters,” the source concludes.
