In another heinous incident that took place in the national capital, a 51-year-old Danish woman was allegedly gang-raped by a group of men near Pahargnaj of surrounding New Delhi Railway Station on late hours of Tuesday.
New Delhi: In another heinous incident that took place in the national capital, a 51-year-old Danish woman was allegedly gang-raped by a group of men near Pahargnaj of surrounding New Delhi Railway Station on late hours of Tuesday.
According to the sources, a Danish national, who was in Delhi on a tourist visa, had gone to visit a museum and while returning back to her hotel in Paharganj lost her way in the area. A group of men stopped her and gang-raped her, apart from robbing her entire belongings including cash and ornaments.
After returning to the hotel, the victim narrated her tribulation to the close allies, who in turn made a complaint with the nearest police station. The Danish Embassy also pitched in and demanded for an immediate action.
Delhi Police have detained as many as 6 suspected persons in connection with the case and had been interrogating them. The police officials suspect that the people at roadside in the Paharganj area might be involved in the crime.
Following this unfortunate incident the victim left for her country on Wednesday morning.
