Guntur: Lorries smash together; 2 killed

Guntur: On Friday late night two people were killed when two Lorries collided with each other near Brahmanapalli of Piduguralla in Guntur district. A lorry leaving for Ongole from Kodad with cement load smacked another lorry coming from Krishnapatnam with a load of coal near Brahmanapalli.

According to sources, in this accident, the driver of the lorry coming from Krishnapatnam died on the spot, while Saidulu, the driver of other lorry, died on the way to the hospital.

The cleaners of both Lorries sustained severe injuries and have been given treatment at Sattenapalli government hospital. The condition of the duo is said to be very critical. A case has been booked and the police have been investigating the matter.
